Salary - £17,500 rising to £20,000 upon successful completion of training

Support Dogs have a very exciting new role available within the training department and are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated and driven individual to join our expanding training team. This vacancy is to cover maternity leave and will be on a 15 month fixed term contract.  The successful applicant will be responsible for the selection of Support Dogs puppies and should provide a structured training programme for them while they are under their care.  This will also include the overseeing of how they progress and the ability to highlight any concerns that may arise within this time to management.   The role will also involve working closely alongside our valued volunteers, ensuring they are receiving excellent support, regular training sessions and are given advice as and when required.

Job vacancy – Dog welfare assistant

Full time – 37.5 hours per week (hours can vary between 8am-6pm)

Location – Sheffield

Salary - £15,268.50 (NLW)

 Support Dogs have an exciting new role available within the training department and are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated and driven individual to join our expanding training team. The successful candidate will be required to ensure our dogs who are in full time training are collected and settled into the training centre/taken back to their foster carer’s home on a daily basis, to arrange appropriate foster care for all of our dogs in training, prepare and ensure the appropriate enrichment activities for the dogs are prepared/carried out on a daily basis, to exercise and toilet the dogs when required/requested, to carry out grooming sessions/health checks/vet visits for all dogs in training.

The role will involve working closely alongside our valued volunteers, ensuring they are receiving excellent support and that feedback from the volunteers are passed onto the relevant trainer/instructor who is overseeing that particular dog in training.
