When you volunteer with Support Dogs you can expect our full support every step of the way:

  • You will be assigned to a member of our friendly puppy training team (we call them puppy coordinators!) who will be able to answer any questions you have and help with all your worries.

  • There's a 24-hour emergency phone line so you will be able to contact us if anything does go wrong.

  • If you need a break, a holiday, or have an emergency, we can find your puppy a temporary home whilst you are away. We call this 'holiday cover' and it can be anywhere from a few days to a few weeks - just let us know what you need!

  • We will provide you with everything you need to care for your puppy. This includes food, bedding, toys, vet care, flea and worming treatments, and everything else that's involved in raising a support dog in training.

  • All medical expenses and insurance is covered and organised by Support Dogs

  • This is a great opportunity to meet a group of great, likeminded people. Our puppy socialisers are in constant contact with each other and often organise fun family meet ups and group dog walks.
