Four-legged fun at Bark in the Park

A great doggy day out is in store at the annual Bark in the Park event in Hillsborough Park on Sunday June 30.

Sheffield-based national assistance dog charity Support Dogs is teaming up with Sheffield Wednesday FC at this year’s Owls in the Park family gala event.

This year’s dog show will have seven categories for pet dogs which can be entered into on the day including: Best Biscuit Catcher, Cutest Pup, Most Radiant Rescue Dog, Most Gorgeous Golden Oldie, and  Best Junior Handler.

There’ll also be displays from Tailwaggers’ display team, and dog trainers Best Behaviour  K9.

Danny Anderson, fundraising manager for the Brightside-based charity explains: “Our annual Bark in the Park is a great day out for the city’s dog lovers. Plus the cash we raise every year has made a real difference to our work training specialist assistance dogs for children and adults affected by autism, epilepsy and disability.”

Danny added: “We’re delighted that Sheffield Wednesday FC support us each year by allowing us to be part of Owls in the Park. Do come and meet us and our life-changing dogs at this fabulous event.”

Bark in the Park runs from 11am-5pm.
