We love to share our work with children and young people, and some of our biggest supporters have been schools.

Getting involved with Support Dogs is a great way to introduce children to assistance dogs; to open up conversations about autism, epilepsy and disability and how these conditions affect peoples lives; and to introduce children to fundraising with our incredibly popular 'dress as a dog' days!

We want to create partnerships throughout the UK and would be delighted to hear from new schools, colleges and Universities.   Where possible we will bring one of our ambassador dogs or working support dogs to meet students and to demonstrate their skills and we are happy to tailor our talks, assemblies and visits to different age groups, topics and levels.

We are delighted to have partnered with The World of The Snowman  to create an activity pack to celebrate 10 years of friendship and fun with The Snowman and The SnowDog™.  Tailored for KS1 and KS2, the activity pack is about celebrating our pets and the amazing role support dogs play in peoples lives.  You can download the pack below and we'd also be delighted to visit your school to support any activities you run.

“Through the informative assemblies delivered by Laura and her four-footed friends the children have been inspired to raise money to support this wonderful charity. I feel that the information given through Laura’s presentations have given our children a greater understanding about the needs of others and have helped them to develop empathy and identify how they can help others within society.  Thank you Support Dogs.”

The Autism Champions at Forge Valley really enjoyed the visits of two beautiful dogs called Burnsie and Miguel. Tess Thompson and Laura Smyth were both absolutely wonderful too; so friendly, knowledgeable and caring. Their professionalism was outstanding as they answered the numerous questions of the children. We are so glad that we were able to work with this wonderful charity and hope this will continue for many years to come.
